Single Stage Paint Correction Or Multi-Stage Paint Correction – What’s The Difference?

What level of paint correction is best for your vehicle? Single-stage correction or multi-stage correction? Not all paint correction services are created equal. There are numerous factors involved when we are making a recommendation during our free consultations here at Simple Details.

The hardness or softness of your vehicle’s paint is an important factor to consider, as some manufacturers are notorious for having one or the other. In most cases, for a vehicle with softer paint, a single-stage paint correction can remove a lot of defects.

On the other hand, a harder paint typically will not allow for as much correction. Now factor in the severity of the damage to the paint, and that will also affect results. Of course, the more severe the damage, the lower the percentage of defect removal.

A multi-stage paint correction will typically result in a more dramatic fix. This effort is usually needed for poorly maintained finishes with more severe defects.

Simple Details Paint Correction Packages

Our Single Stage Paint Correction is equivalent to a one step polish. While the service can provide different results for many different vehicle finishes, (example: softer paint = 50% to 80% defect removal; harder paint = 40% to 60% defect removal) the one thing that is common across the board is that it will always enhance your vehicles paint clarity and gloss levels. Again, this is not the perfect paint correction service for defect removal, but it will enhance your paints appearance. This package includes:

  • Full Cleaning of the Cars Exterior and Interior, using our safe cleaning methods to avoid additional paint defects with full decontamination.
  • Single Stage Correction Polish, using the right tools and polish combination for your individual vehicles finish.
  • Application of the highest-grade Sealant to help protect your vehicles new enhanced finish. For a more durable protection with higher gloss levels, we recommend adding one of our Ceramic Coating Packages.

Please Note: A $200 surcharge will be applied if your interior needs extensive cleaning.

Our Restorative Multi-Stage Paint Correction includes the sufficient number of stages needed to remove all surface scratches and defects and can safely be removed without damaging the integrity of your vehicles clear coat.

The first stage of this process requires heavy compounding using the proper pads and compound combination for your paint’s individual defects. Finally, we follow-up with second step polish to refine the finish and remove any haziness left behind from the heavy compounding to leave behind a high gloss defect free finish.

With this level of correction each vehicle will have different needs and time spent in order to achieve the same result. Due to that fact, the price range will vary based on your vehicles condition. For most vehicles this process can remove 85% to 95% of your vehicle’s defects.

  • Full Cleaning of the Cars Exterior and Interior using our safe cleaning methods to avoid additional paint defects with full decontamination.
  • Multi-Stage correction safely using the correct combination of pads, compounds and polishes based on your cars individual condition and paint depth.
  • Application of the highest-grade Sealant to help protect your vehicles new enhanced finish. For a more durable protection with higher gloss levels we recommend adding one of our Ceramic Coating Packages.

Please Note: A $200 surcharge will be applied if your interior needs extensive cleaning.
